Enabling SMS Verification

It is possible to enable SMS verification on your Maventa account alongside the authenticator application. This allows you to verify your login using a code sent via text message if your authenticator application is unavailable.

Activating SMS Authentication

SMS verification works as an alternative authentication method alongside the authenticator app. You can enable SMS verification either during your first login or later in your account settings.

New users: If you are setting up two-factor authentication (2FA) for the first time, please refer to the dedicated guide: Setting up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

The instructions below are intended for users who already have active Maventa credentials and an authenticator app, and wish to add SMS authentication through their account settings.

Step 1: Log into the service

  1. Go to the Maventa login page.
  2. Enter your username and select Next.
  3. Enter your password and select Sign in.
  4. If prompted during login, enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app and select Verify.

Step 2: Navigate to user settings

  1. Click your name in the top right corner.
  2. Select Personal settings > Login details.
  3. Select the link: " You can edit the login details such as password and second factor authentication methods from here".

Step 3: Enable text messages

  1. Scroll to the section Sign-in & security -> Two-Factor Authentication -> Text Message (SMS).
  2. Select Enable SMS.

Step 4: Confirm changes

  1. Enter your current password when prompted and confirm the activation.

Logging in with SMS Verification

Once SMS verification is activated, you can use it during login instead of the authenticator application.

  1. Enter your username and password on the login page.
  2. When the system asks for the authenticator code, select Try another way on the screen.
  3. Select the option Get security code sent as SMS to phone ending with...
  4. Enter the verification code received on your phone via text message into the designated field to complete the login.
