ViDA aims to combat VAT fraud, reduce administrative burdens, and simplify cross-border trade by introducing a mandatory e-invoicing and real-time reporting requirement for all cross-border B2B transactions in the EU, while also giving member states the green light to require e-invoicing for domestic transactions.
