11.09.2026 - Kivra’s digital mail service is replaced by Posti's OmaPosti in Finland on 15th of October 2026

Kivra’s digital mail service in Finland is transferring to Posti as a result of a corporate restructuring. Following this change, consumer digital mail traffic will in future be routed to Posti’s OmaPosti service instead of Kivra.

Important dates and timeline

  • 15 October 2026 – Maventa’s digital mail traffic transitions to OmaPosti
Maventa will transfer digital mail traffic to the OmaPosti service. If a consumer does not yet use OmaPosti, messages will be temporarily routed to Kivra until 31 October 2026.
  • 31 October 2026 – Delivery of messages to Kivra ends
The delivery of new messages to Kivra will cease completely by Posti. After this, all Maventa digital mail will be delivered to OmaPosti.
  • 1 December 2026 – Kivra service closes
Kivra’s current service will close to consumers. Messages already in Kivra will remain readable until the service closes.
  • 1 March 2027 – Print service lookup will be removed
The OmaPosti lookup carried out by the print service provider will be decommissioned. After this date, all OmaPosti deliveries will only go through Maventa, so traffic should be transferred to the Maventa connection before the deadline.

Effects on sending and interfaces

Sending invoices and letters via Maventa will continue as normal. Maventa and Posti are responsible for the technical implementation, and the change does not require major system modifications from senders.

Area Impact and actions
Sending calls, routing, and pricing Remain unchanged. No changes required.
Interface changes A few small parameter and field name changes will be introduced to the interface.
Billing transactions A new billing transaction will be added to the service, priced the same as the current digital mail transaction.

Important notes regarding direct print integrations for consumer invoices

If your current integration routes consumer invoices directly to a print service, the traffic routing should be adjusted slightly if you want invoices and letters to be directed to OmaPosti in the future.

From 15 October 2026, an invoice can end up in a consumer’s OmaPosti via two different routes:

  1. Via Maventa’s own connection as an electronic route (Recommended method)
  2. Via the print service provider’s lookup just before printing

Why should traffic be moved to the Maventa connection?

The lookup passing through the print service provider will be decommissioned on 1 March 2027. In addition, the print service route has the following limitations:

  • The route does not return delivery information to the sender.
  • The invoice is charged according to the paper letter price list.

It is recommended to transfer all digital mail traffic to Maventa’s own connection well ahead of the deadline.
