In this guide, you will learn how to find the API key and company UUID, manage your personal settings, change your password, modify main admin settings, and add new users to your Maventa account.


User API key and company UUID

User API Key and Company UUID: The user API key and company UUID connect Maventa with the billing software. For more guidance on where to enter these keys, consult your software's customer support.

The company UUID is only needed when your username has access to multiple Maventa accounts.

API Key and UUID in Maventa:

  • Log in to Maventa: Visit the login page and sign in.
  • Find API Key and UUID: Go to Settings > Company Settings > Company Information.

User's personal settings

  • Access personal settings:
    • Select "My Settings" from the menu under your name, or
    • Go to Settings in the top menu > My Settings > Information.
  • Edit your information: Update your first and last name and phone number.
  • Manage notifications:
    • Select "Block notifications for e-invoices sent within Maventa" to stop alerts from sent sales invoices (e.g., changes in invoice status).
    • Select "Block all email notifications" to disable alerts for incoming purchase invoices.
    • Notifications for invoices with errors are always sent, even if some messages are blocked.

Change password

  • Change password: Open the Change Password section and follow the instructions to enter your current and new passwords. When requirements are met, update the password.
  • Log in again: After changing the password, you will be logged out and need to log in with the new password.

Managing and changing the main admin

  • Main admins: They can manage (add, remove, modify) other users on the Maventa account. There must always be one main admin on the account.
  • Changing the main admin: Add a new main admin and remove the old one if needed under Settings > Company Settings > Users.
  • Verify API Key: Ensure that the billing software’s API key matches that of a remaining user. If you remove the user whose API key is linked to the billing software, the connection between Maventa and the billing software will break. Create a new user, enter the new user's API key into the billing software, then remove the old user.

Changing the email of a username

  • Change email: Log in, click Settings > My Settings > Login Information. Click the link "You can change your password and two-factor login here". Update the email address and follow the verification process.

After updating the email, you can log into Maventa with the new email address, and the password and two-factor authentication settings will remain unchanged.

If you wish to change the email linked to a Maventa username to an existing Connect user, or if you no longer have access to your old email, contact Maventa's customer service.


Adding a new user

  • Each user must have their own personal username and an authenticator app installed on their own computer or phone. Only the account's main admin (admin) can add a new user.
  • Add a new user: Log in, go to Company Settings > Users > Add User. The user will receive an activation email with a link. By clicking this link, the user can activate their account and log into Maventa.
  • Addition to multiple accounts: Log in, select Company Settings > Users > Add User > Add Companies. In this view, you'll see a list of companies where you have admin rights. Decide whether to grant the new user admin or user-level access.
  • Admin rights to all managed accounts: Select "All Admin" and create a new user by choosing "Create". The new user may already be registered with Maventa, if not, an activation link is sent via email, which the user clicks to activate their account, log into Maventa, and set up two-factor authentication.

Addresses of main admins on the account are not in use

Contact Maventa's customer service and specify which user you would like to add to the account. The request must come from an authorized company signatory. We always verify the signatory authority and send a Visma Sign electronic signature form related to this matter.
