German e-invoicing mandate: Peppol now available for German businesses via Maventa
With Germany's B2B e-invoicing mandate approaching, are you ready?
We’re proud to announce Maventa now supports e-invoicing via Peppol for German businesses. We’ve also added the ability to register German companies through financial management software.
Peppol & XRechnung support for German businesses
Germany has implemented a B2B mandate for e-invoicing making electronic invoicing mandatory for all companies by 2028. However, from 2025 onwards, German companies are required to accept EN-compliant e-invoices.
To support this rapid transition to e-invoicing in Germany, Maventa customers can now send e-invoices to German companies via Peppol or Maventa’s internal network. Customers can additionally activate Peppol receiving to get an electronic invoice address. The address will be visible in Peppol directory and in the network.
The conversion of invoice formats to the local format XRechnung 2.3 and 3.0 is automatically supported by Maventa. Sending to Leitweg ID is also supported within the public sector.
How do I get started?
We’ve added the ability to register German businesses in Maventa through financial management software. If your software doesn’t yet support this feature, we recommend you contact your software support team - they’ll be able to request the feature from Maventa.
E-invoicing across Europe
Germany isn’t alone in its push for e-invoicing. For example, Belgium is set to mandate electronic invoicing by January 2026 - yes, less than a year! -, whereas in Poland, e-invoicing will be gradually implemented, becoming obligatory for all businesses by April 2026.
At Maventa, we're committed to building a comprehensive European e-invoicing network, continuously expanding our reach to support your growing business. To discuss how we can support your business with local and international e-invoicing needs, get in touch!
